Broilers - Meat Birds

We provide pasture raised poultry and eggs. Our broilers are raised on pasture and moved daily to fresh grass. They are supplemented with organic, soy-free, low-PUFA, non-GMO feed. Our laying hens are raised on pasture that is pesticide/herbicide free and moved every several days to a new paddock of fresh grass. They are also supplemented with organic, soy-free, non-GMO feed. We raise our chicks in a brooder for about 3 weeks. Here they are kept warm and secure with constant access to organic, soy-free feed and water. After these first three weeks the chicks are mature enough to move out on pasture. We use the Joel Salatin style 'Chicken Tractors' to house our birds on pasture. These chicken tractors are moved by hand daily to a fresh section of pasture. The tractors provide protection from both ground and aerial predators. They are also designed to allow access to both sunlight and protection from the elements when needed.

We do not use any type of pesticides or herbicides on our pastures. While our chickens are on pasture, we feed them an organic, soy-free feed. They will also eat the grass, bugs, and other critters in their chicken tractors. This additional feed source helps round out their flavor, making our chicken tastier than your normal store-bought variety. Try for Yourself!

Eggs

Like our cows, our egg laying hens are on pasture year-round. They are able to free range and forage, usually a few days behind the cows. They are housed in an Eggmobile - a mobile coop that is towed to a new spot every few days.
