Pasture Raised and Grass Finished Beef

New Dawn Farm beef is sourced from cattle that are born, raised, and finished here on our farm. We do not use any vaccines, antibiotics, or growth implants on our cattle. They are raised on pasture that is pesticide/herbicide free and moved daily to a new paddock of fresh grass. Click here to see our list of beef products for sale.

Our cattle are founded on angus genetics, known for its great taste, tenderness, and marbling. Our beef comes from calves that are calved here on the farm. Around 7 - 10 months of age they are weaned from their moms and continue to grow out on pasture. They reach their finish weight around 2 years of age. Their whole life is spent on pasture, the way they were designed.

For most of the year we move our cattle daily to fresh paddocks. During the winter we place rolls of hay in a checkered board fashion across the pastures and move the cows to new paddocks every 3 - 4 days. These practices are good both for the cows and for regenerating the pastures. This constant movement across pastures, coupled with the fact that we don't transport our cattle long distances or confine them to a crowded feedlot that is often dusty or muddy, means they stay healthy naturally and don't require the antibiotics and vaccines often given to cattle. We also don't use growth implants on our cattle.
